Medical Scientist. System Strategist. Nonprofit Leader.

Science, Advocacy, and Creative Engagement

Every child deserves a learning experience that actually works—one that provides support, guidance, and clarity at every turn. My work bridges the gap between medical science and real-world advocacy to make that happen. With doctoral training in clinical genetics, I look beyond school reports to understand the complex biological and institutional systems behind them.

Where Science Meets Systems

I trained as a medical scientist, earning my Ph.D. in Cancer Genetics from the Karolinska Institute followed by postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. Whether I’m studying a genome or navigating a school district, I use the same level of precision. I’m looking for where the system breaks down, what the data is actually telling us, and how to build practical, cross-disciplinary strategies that help each student move forward.

Building Bridges, Locally and Globally

Beyond the lab, I’ve spent nearly a decade leading nonprofit initiatives that support mental and emotional well-being worldwide. Through the organization I founded, I develop educational and cultural projects rooted in Buddhist teachings—from creating comics that explore life and learning to building a publicly accessible library of study materials focused on mental well-being and inner resilience.

These are humanity-focused projects, aimed at preserving wisdom while offering practical tools for modern emotional well-being. I coordinate a global network of volunteers and experts to ensure these resources reach and engage learners everywhere.

In parallel, I lead Solentis Strategy, a strategic advisory firm that helps individuals, schools, nonprofits, biomedical organizations, and institutions turn evidence into meaningful, sustainable change. I also serve on multiple nonprofit boards, guiding long-term strategy, growth, and accountability.

Learning from the Inside Out

I don’t just study systems; I navigate them from the trenches.

  • State-Appointed Advocate: As a Special Education Surrogate Parent (SESP), I am appointed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as the legal educational decision-maker for students in state custody, navigating the complex intersections of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and school districts.
  • The Parent Perspective: As a mother who has navigated the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, I understand the weight of silence when a child’s needs aren’t being met. I advocate with the heart of a partner and the mind of a scientist.
  • Individualized Educational Design: I homeschooled my children—seven years for my neurodivergent child and three for my neurotypical child—gaining deep insight into how different minds learn and why some educational environments fall short.

This experience shapes every recommendation I make. My approach is always child-centered, ensuring that the science of learning serves the individual student’s unique needs. I know the stakes because I’ve lived them, and I believe that when we center the child, the path forward becomes clear.

A Multicultural Bridge Builder

Having lived in 5 countries across 4 continents, I bring a global “lived library” of solutions to local challenges. I don’t just bridge languages and culture; I bridge systems. My work in international nonprofit leadership has taught me that true “Academic Excellence” is only possible when a system is culturally responsive and linguistically precise.

Linguistic & Cultural Governance

My work as a “Bridge Builder” is backed by the management of complex, cross-border intellectual projects.

  • Global Translation Oversight: I have directed international teams in the cross-cultural adaptation of complex philosophical and technical works into Spanish, Portuguese, Tibetan, Romanian, Italian, German, Thai, and more.
  • Terminology Management: I specialize in aligning clinical, legal, and philosophical terminology across diverse linguistic frameworks to ensure conceptual precision and cultural responsiveness.

I believe institutions should function like a healthy family—where communication is clear, every voice is heard, and every “passenger” on the journey reaches their destination safely.

Whether applying the precision of Clinical Genetics or navigating the structural challenges of the public school system, my mission remains the same: ensuring that the science of learning is reflected in the systems that serve our communities, while also nurturing the curiosity, well-being, and resilience of every learner.
