Vivi na pele as frustra\u00e7\u00f5es que as fam\u00edlias enfrentam ao defender seus filhos \u2014 especialmente durante o processo do Plano Educacional Individualizado (IEP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recentemente, fiz parte da comunidade da Kennedy-Longfellow \u2014 a escola da minha filha \u2014 onde percebi que uma escola situada em uma \u00e1rea de grande demanda muitas vezes n\u00e3o recebia o apoio constante que precisava e merecia. N\u00e3o foi uma falha dos professores, mas resultado do suporte inadequado no n\u00edvel do distrito e decis\u00f5es pol\u00edticas que deixaram a escola desassistida. Quando o distrito n\u00e3o apoia uma escola, toda a comunidade \u2014 estudantes, fam\u00edlias e educadores \u2014 sentem essa aus\u00eancia. Por todo o distrito, muitas fam\u00edlias e educadores expressaram preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es semelhantes sobre a falta de apoio consistente em suas pr\u00f3prias comunidades escolares. Fazer parte dessa realidade abriu meus olhos para como a neglig\u00eancia estrutural pode afetar a capacidade de uma escola se desenvolver \u2014 e como \u00e9 urgente termos um sistema que esteja presente para cada escola.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A CPS conta com muitos programas fortes, educadores dedicados e pontos positivos a celebrar \u2014 e acredito que podemos construir sobre essas for\u00e7as enquanto enfrentamos as \u00e1reas onde estudantes e fam\u00edlias ainda ficam desamparados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como m\u00e3e, educadora e aprendiz ao longo da vida, acredito que as crian\u00e7as aprendem melhor quando est\u00e3o engajadas, curiosas e inspiradas a criar. Aprender com alegria n\u00e3o \u00e9 um extra \u2014 \u00e9 essencial. Quando os estudantes est\u00e3o entusiasmados e interessados, eles se motivam a aprender profundamente e a crescer com confian\u00e7a. \u00c9 assim que se formam aprendizes para a vida toda \u2014 n\u00e3o pela press\u00e3o, mas pelo prop\u00f3sito.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por isso, estou concorrendo com tr\u00eas prioridades centrais:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Equidade, Acesso e Conquista.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esses valores orientam tudo o que fa\u00e7o \u2014 garantindo que cada crian\u00e7a seja vista, apoiada e desafiada de maneiras que a ajudem a florescer. Estou igualmente comprometida em apoiar os estudantes avan\u00e7ados e aqueles que j\u00e1 est\u00e3o se destacando em nossas escolas, ampliando as oportunidades para uma explora\u00e7\u00e3o mais profunda, desafios significativos e desenvolvimento da lideran\u00e7a.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minhas prioridades incluem:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Fechar as desigualdades de oportunidade e aprimorar o apoio \u00e0 educa\u00e7\u00e3o especial<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Ampliar aprendizados divertidos, envolventes e desafiadores \u2014 incluindo programas baseados em projetos e multil\u00edngues \u2014 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">all <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">para todos os estudantes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Priorizar a sa\u00fade mental, habilidades para a vida e avalia\u00e7\u00f5es significativas que reflitam o progresso real<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Fortalecer a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o entre fam\u00edlias, educadores, escolas e a lideran\u00e7a do distrito \u2014 incluindo o Comit\u00ea Escolar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se eleita, dedicarei meu trabalho integralmente a essa fun\u00e7\u00e3o \u2014 com atendimento semanal, visitas regulares a todas as escolas e permanecendo totalmente acess\u00edvel a estudantes, fam\u00edlias, educadores, funcion\u00e1rios e membros da comunidade.
