He experimentado de primera mano las frustraciones que enfrentan las familias al defender a sus hijos \u2014 especialmente a trav\u00e9s del proceso del Programa de Educaci\u00f3n Individualizado (IEP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recientemente form\u00e9 parte de la comunidad de Kennedy-Longfellow \u2014 la escuela de mi hija \u2014 donde pude observar que una escuela en una zona de alta vulnerabilidad no recib\u00eda con regularidad el apoyo que necesitaba y merec\u00eda.\nNo fue una falla de los maestros, sino el resultado de un apoyo insuficiente a nivel distrital y decisiones pol\u00edticas que dejaron a la escuela desatendida. Cuando el distrito no apoya a una escuela, toda la comunidad \u2014 estudiantes, familias y educadores \u2014 sienten esa ausencia. En todo el distrito, muchas familias y educadores han expresado preocupaciones similares sobre la falta de apoyo consistente en sus propias comunidades escolares. Ser parte de esta realidad me abri\u00f3 los ojos a c\u00f3mo la negligencia estructural puede afectar la capacidad de una escuela para prosperar \u2014 y la urgente necesidad de un sistema que apoye a cada escuela.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La CPS cuenta con muchos programas fuertes, educadores dedicados y aspectos positivos que vale la pena celebrar \u2014 y creo que podemos construir sobre esas fortalezas mientras enfrentamos las \u00e1reas donde estudiantes y familias a\u00fan quedan desamparados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como madre, educadora y aprendiz de por vida, creo que los ni\u00f1os aprenden mejor cuando est\u00e1n comprometidos, curiosos e inspirados a crear. El aprendizaje alegre no es un extra \u2014 es esencial. Cuando los estudiantes est\u00e1n entusiasmados e interesados, se motivan a aprender profundamente y a crecer con confianza. As\u00ed se forman aprendices para toda la vida \u2014 no a trav\u00e9s de la presi\u00f3n, sino con prop\u00f3sito.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por eso, me postulo con tres prioridades centrales:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Equidad, Acceso y Logro.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estos valores gu\u00edan todo lo que hago \u2014 asegurando que cada ni\u00f1o sea visto, apoyado y desafiado de maneras que le permitan prosperar. Estoy igualmente comprometida a apoyar a los estudiantes avanzados y a aquellos que destacan en nuestras escuelas, ampliando las oportunidades para una exploraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda, desaf\u00edos significativos y liderazgo.\n Mis prioridades incluyen:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre mis prioridades se encuentran:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Cerrar las brechas de oportunidad y mejorar el apoyo a la educaci\u00f3n especial<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Ampliar el aprendizaje divertido, atractivo y desafiante \u2014 incluyendo programas basados en proyectos y multiling\u00fces \u2014 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">all <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">para todos los estudiantes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Priorizar la salud mental, las habilidades para la vida y evaluaciones significativas que reflejen el progreso real<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/16.0.1\/svg\/2714.svg\" alt=\"\u2714\ufe0f\" \/> Fortalecer la comunicaci\u00f3n entre familias, educadores, escuelas y la direcci\u00f3n del distrito \u2014 incluyendo el Comit\u00e9 Escolar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si soy elegida, dedicar\u00e9 mi tiempo completo a este rol \u2014 con horas de atenci\u00f3n semanales, visitas regulares a todas las escuelas y permaneciendo totalmente accesible para estudiantes, familias, educadores, personal y miembros de la comunidad.
